Ivano-Frankivsk ,Ukraine

No trip to Ukraine would be complete without a visit to Ivano-Frankivsk. Here are a few of my favorite shots; They're atmospheric, minimalist compositions from the best city on the planet. And I'm not just saying that because it's my hometown...

We need your support. Right now, and for the foreseeable future, all profits from the sale of ANY of my photographic prints will be donated to Ukraine's United24 fund.

I highly recommend something from my Ukrainian collection! Or, you can donate directly to United24.
Thank you.

Synevyr National Nature Park

One of the most stunning parks in Ukraine is named after its beautiful lake, Synevyr, which is the largest in the Carpathian mountain range. Scientists estimate that the lake is about ten thousand years old. From the ground or the air, the landscape is unforgettable.

Night Cityscape Vol. 4

My ongoing love affair with photographing the city at night continues. These are some of my favorite recent shots, particularly with the cloud cover and variety of dazzling lights on the skyline.

Golden hour in NYC

In city photography, the "Golden Hour" isn't always golden. The skyline of buildings often reflects too much light, blowing out an image or simply making everything look bronze. But when you get it just right, it's still magic. This collection offers a little bit of everything New York has to offer visually as the sun goes down.

Strawberry Milkshake (Cityscapes at Dawn)

It's an odd title, I know- but the pinkish hue of the clouds and fog on overcast mornings reminds me of a strawberry milkshake! I love that the colors at this time of day are subtle but still so punchy and bold in the context of the image. The tints of the sky in mornings and evenings are so unique they're unmistakable.

Cityscapes at Dusk

Some of my favorite photos from this August 2020 and they all been taken at dusk. Now I am more into colder tones, but it all varies from the composition. Let me know what you think.

Two Bridges (New York)

Two Bridges neighborhood located between Manhattan Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge on the Island. The views that open up are stunning. I have shot in different conditions there and must say every time there is something new to it.

Manhattan Bridge (New York)

One of my favorite stories including fog is about the Manhattan Bridge. The beauty of the bridge combines with morning fog creates a strong story about this piece of architecture and giving it Gotham feel.

When shooting during fog conditions use a polarizer to be able to cut through the fog just a bit. I also used a 3 stop nd filter to smoothen the water.
