As some of my viewers already know, nightfall is one of my favorite times to shoot. As the sun went down, the Carpathian Mountains didn't disappoint. Stars lit up the sky, punctuated by periodic meteors streaking across space, while moonlight fully illuminated the landscape below.
Big Sur lived up to its name... the "Big" part, at least (what exactly is a Sur?). The Pacific Coast Highway winds for miles around massive cliffs, with the sea and sky stretching out endlessly around you. I was particularly impressed by the views at night. Seeing the Milky Way above the waves was absolutely magical.
Some of my favorite photos from this August 2020 and they all been taken at dusk. Now I am more into colder tones, but it all varies from the composition. Let me know what you think.
